Understanding the books to buy and how they relate to the 2024 rules

Using Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide as an example

There is a single price with no options of physical/digital.

Is this purchase digital and physical or only one?  Which one as the description states, "Purchasing a digital copy of this book unlocks it for..."

The book says only 5E, nothing about being 2024 core rule compatible.    Does this mean that if I only have 2024 rules, I can't use this as it is not compatible?

Disclaimer, I understand even 1E books can be converted, but not knowing the rules, I personally cannot convert if the book is not compatible.

Thank you, whole I understand the 2024 is a tweak from the 2014 rules, it looks from reviewing the PHB, like a big tweak if one is just getting into it.

Some books state, "2024 core rule compatible" and some like Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide , don't say that.  That is part of my confusion.

How can I tell when a book was written/published?  Looking over everything, I could not discern when Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide  was actually published.

I think what he is asking is "if" he get this book will he be able to make PC's using the 2024 class changes using the DnDbeyond character sheet instead of the 2014 class.
