Worked for me using the regular American date sequence.
Not sure why it's needed here now, since there is no policy on restricting age.
It's likely a response to the UK's online safety act, which means in principle they could reverse the question (only ask for birthdate if in a jurisdiction that has relevant laws), but given the rate at which areas are passing age restrictions, I'm not really surprised by them doing it this way (and this is very weak checking, which I would assume D&D Beyond considers safe because TOS already forbids most adult content).
I don't know what the age of minors is on this app But it's between 12 (Needed parental verification) and 16 (did not need parental verification) My 18 year old is an adult.
I entered in my birthdate correctly, but the website didn’t process it properly and now it says I need to do it again later or contact customer support. Does anyone know how long I’d need to wait before trying again? If it’s longer than customer support, I’ll just contact them.
One more question: Do we need photo ID? Or things like licenses or credit cards?

I needed to verify my adult status for my child and that required the last 4 of my social. For my adult account I did not need anything and was done with my birthdate and my Region.
On my Account page I now see this:
K-ID Status Provided Date of Birth and Jurisdiction
I would avoid providing any info beyond birthday & country, as Discord had a major breach of users info from age verification, and they were at least using K-ID in some regions.
And no, an article saying "It wasn't us, must have been some other aspect that handled discord data that got breached" from a company with a vested interest in not getting blamed and remaining a company is not enough to brush away concerns that it wasn't at least data on it's way to K-ID.
How is it that a generation that grew up with the book 1984, and red scare, etc... Is the one pushing for this? This is absolutely "falling down the slippery slope" territory, and it didn't even take long for a huge data breach to happen around it.
Giving up privacy & rights for security is an idiotic idea, even the founding fathers knew it back before the US existed as a country.

While I would agree with this, it's not like D&D Beyond is currently asking for more than that. They don't have some of the options available to some other platforms (for example, some platforms with large amounts of history on your account can say "your account is more than 21 years old, we think you're more than 21 years old")
If you give a date that makes you old enough (truthful or otherwise), they don't ask for more. If you put a country and date that makes you underage, then they absolutely will require more.
My main issue is that it says it didn’t work and to try again later. I will not be giving them my id under any circumstances, per your advice. I’m just worried it’s stuck like that and I’m gonna lose this account

There's a month and a half to the deadline, I wouldn't start worrying just yet. It's possible that you'll have to contact customer service.
They suggested the other methods of verification if putting in the email doesn’t work. I wonder if logging into the same account on a different device would fix the issue I’m having. I’ll have to try it and see. I appreciate everyone’s advice on the issue! Thank you all so much!!!

What is this banner? The link leads to a Page Not Found.
It's some sort of age verification. Probably inspired by Aus/Uk new laws.
It kept saying my date was wrong, until I remembered that USA uses a different date format to the rest of us.

Scarlett Rotkäppchen - Tiefling Vengeance Paladin
Myrith Duskwyn - Aasimar Celestial Warlock
They messed up creating the banner; the href is
<a href="https:/www.dndbeyond.com/account">
instead of
<a href="https://www.dndbeyond.com/account">
or
<a href="https:/account">
In any case, the correct link is just to go to your account.
The link took me to https://www.dndbeyond.com/account where I could enter my birthday and country of residence.

It appears to be integration with k-ID.
Um....accidentally deaged myself by 53 years and now I need to ask a parent....bit hard with them being dead and all....
Any way to amend the entered birthdate?
Eh, just made a K-ID account for myself......this feels weird but it worked.
It's not visible on mobile browsers because it sits too much in the right (and there's no possibility to scroll vertically).

Something went wrong with the age entry and it thinks I'm 0 years old. Is there any way to correct that?
Word I'm hearing that it may bring DDB online with COPPA here in the states. Which would be 13.
