How many characters do you have? I've got two active ones, a copy that I use to plan level progression and a dozen left from previous campaigns. With the search/sort options I don't really see a need for folders. I'm curious how you would organize them in the folders.

As a Westmarch player on a couple of servers, I've got 45. I know people who have way more. If I had folders, they'd be:
The "Other" folder would get the couple that are either build testing, my dummy account for testing homebrew as it's built, and the 3 unfinished sheets that I made as storage for abilities in Avrae (Monster Abilities, PC Abilities, Spell Actions).
I have 108 characters. Most of them are to keep track of my students' characters (I teach D&D and related subjects.) Having some easier way to manage them other than creating campaigns would be nice. I have one "campaign" with 30 characters that is just to hold the ones that are not currently being played but might next semester.
Each semester I create new campaigns for each course, and moving the characters between them is a pain. I'd love to see something like a drag-n-drop interface.

You should be able to have folders for your character to sort them

[Server 1] - 4
[Server 2] - 7
Retired - 22
NPCs - 7
Other - 5
