The new digital dice are a downgrade in my opinion.
The ability to see others dice is fine, but not implemented well. Takes too long for them to disappear from screen, as well as no longer being able to click them to automatically dismiss is a poor decision. I also dislike the lack of roll result that used to pop up in the bottom right of screen automatically, now only showing total number up top and requiring me to go into the log and look at the result there for individual dice numbers. The fact that if you do change the setting and roll to self your result doesn't go into the group log and only for you to see is not my favorite either. While not too bad for some, it also seems to take considerably longer for the dice to actually appear and roll for many of my players.
The addition of a reset button on the dice roller is the only positive change I've seen thus far. The change in size works for some dice better than others, should definitely be options for sizes.
On a lesser but personal note, I also strongly dislike whatever visual changes were made to the fuzzy dice.
I'll add to this, in that I am not a fan of the larger dice. It just is not appealing and if you are rolling a large number of them they all just stack in one corner far worse than it used to. From a aural perception you are not rolling the dice so much as just picking them up and dropping them down in place.
I don't need my screen half-covered in dice that don't even give the visual illusion of rolling when I score a critical with a 9th level guiding bolt. I'd much rather have a smaller die size or at least the option of choosing my own size preferences.
Having the summary was a nice feature at the bottom. Not having to open the game log is often preferred especially if doing multiple things at once and you miss the notice at the top.
