Pretty much what the title says, I already own a lot of the 2014 source books, and a lot of the newer material is already available in terms of customised origin and revamped classes, reworked spells. Seems to be a bit inconsistent with what i can access in terms of stat blocks, i can access new Aboleth, but not the new Abominable Yeti? So what do i actually get by paying almost £100 for three additional books? it's not that clear, and I'm not dropping £100 just to find out!
Thank you! I was also looking at Artificer - is the version from Tasha's different from the Eberron forge of the artificer sourcebook?
The version from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything was written for the 2014/5e rules.
The version from Eberron: Forge of the Artificer was written for the 2024/5.5e rules.
As with all the 5.5e classes, there are some pretty significant changes, including a whole new subclass (Cartographer) that's only in the 5.5e version.

The difference between the 5.5e basic rules and the core rulebooks is pretty much the same as between the 5e basic rules and it's counterpart
