Respectfully requesting a character sheet UX update to better surface roleplay and lore information during gameplay instead of limiting it primarily to the Builder/Manage sections.
Currently, subclass and species lore are mostly hidden behind character creation menus...
edit: Subclass has the entry under feats, click the level the subclass unlocks, click the right side short text, click more...
..which makes it harder for players to quickly reference the flavor and identity of their character during play. This information is useful not only for roleplay and action justification, but also for DMs who may want a quick understanding of how a character fits into the setting or narrative.
Suggested Improvements
1. Reorganize Background Feats
Move Background feats from the “Background” section into the “Feats & Traits” section under a dedicated category** such as:
Class/Subclass Features
Background Features**
Species Traits
General Feats
This would better separate mechanical features from narrative/lore information and make the character sheet easier to scan during play.
2. Expand Background tab into a “Lore & Identity” Section
Add a lightweight lore section to the character sheet containing short PHB/basic rules summaries for:
Class
Subclass
Background
Species
This would let players and DM's quickly visit the identity of the character without reopening Builder menus, while also helping newer players stay connected to their roleplay concepts. This could be especially useful for:
newer players learning their character identity
roleplay-heavy groups
DMs quickly reviewing party composition
mobile users trying to avoid excessive menu navigation and can actually see the lore of their class, subclass or species.
Example Layout
Feats & Traits
Wizard Class Features
School of Enchantment Features
Sage Background Features
Lightfoot Halfling Traits
General Feats
Background Tab (pulling entry flavor from PHB/source book entries)
Wizard
Wizards are defined by their exhaustive study of magic’s inner workings. Their spells can unleash destructive power, manipulate minds, reshape matter, and open pathways to other worlds.
School of Enchantment
Enchanters specialize in magically influencing the minds of others. Some use their abilities to calm violence and encourage mercy, while others dominate and manipulate unwilling subjects.
Sage (Researcher)
You spent years studying the lore of the multiverse through manuscripts, scrolls, and scholarly discussion, becoming an expert in your chosen fields of study.
Lightfoot Halfling
Lightfoot halflings are sociable wanderers known for their ability to blend into crowds and hide behind larger creatures. They are commonly found living alongside other cultures and communities.
Overall, this would improve accessibility to narrative information during active play while reinforcing the roleplay identity of characters beyond purely mechanical features.
