I don't really use spectator view very much but I will say the borders are really handy because you can use them to put things that are still relevant but clutter up the map. For example, sometimes I use the stats of one monster and the token of another so that players don't look at the token and immediately know what the creature is. So I make the token invisible clearly so the players can't see it but I also keep it on the border so it isn't cluttering up the map.
That's less of a thing for someone just looking at the map in spectator view I guess and if they took the borders off just for spectator view that would be fine, but it would be really annoying if they got rid of the borders all together.

Hello,
I use maps with a TV screen as a board. I love how maps is getting better every day, but would love to see these 2 features for the spectator view:
1.- memorize the last zoom in the map, so you don’t have to zoom in/out every time.
2.-remove that grey border. Looks awful in the spectator view. Much better full screen with no borders.
Thank you!
