As the title suggests, I believe it would be a good idea for maps to implement, among other things, an option to trigger automatic fog of war for player tokens in maps. This proposed fog of war would likely be a radius around a player token that moved alongside the token that allowed the player to see around them, while concealing anything beyond the radius. Presumably, it would also conceal what was previously revealed as the player moved. This radius would, on the DMs side, be adjustable in terms of size and applicable on a per player basis. For an example, if the party was in a cave and one player had blindsight, the area of the map revealed to the player with blindsight would be larger than that for the other players. This would greatly reduce the time that a DM has when fussing around with the fog of war, and it would ideally make for more streamlined combat that will take hours anyway.
Another proposal for maps would be walls that actually have collision, or at least the ability for the DM to draw areas with collision. Presumably this would work alongside the automatic fog of war. Frankly, it's annoying when my tokens phase through walls on the map and when I have to fine tune the fog of war. Granted, I have to fine tune the fog of war anyway.
Finally, I would like to see the ability to toggle tokens snapping to the grid, alongside a way to add a grid overlay to uploaded maps that may not have that grid. The former seems like a common sense thing while the latter is a simple quality of life change.
These are my suggestions.
