i have been playing dnd on this site awhile now. had several campaigns as well. today i noticed that one of my actions called "never alone" its description is as follows; Once per Long Rest, when no other creature can see you, you can use a Bonus Action to call your companion, which appears in an unoccupied space within 10 feet of you. It takes the form of a person or a vague silhouette, and it uses the Doppelganger stat block. It is Friendly toward you and acts as your ally, and it takes its turn on your Initiative in combat. It disappears after 1 hr, when it dies, when you die, or when you use an action to politely dismiss it. When it disappears, it drops anything it was wearing or carrying.
i do not know where this is from, i have looked through my character sheet, all my choices and subclass choices, and i have not a singular idea how, or where this is from. its not even from any homebrew i have seen. i also when i click it it says; "Content Error. we cannot find this content"
This text is from the "Call of the Lonely" Dark Bargain from Crooked Moon.
In D&D Beyond, Dark Bargains were implemented as optional class features, so I would look there first. It's also possible someone has homebrewed it as a feat, so you should look at the Manage Feats screen on the character sheet as well, in case it was added outside the normal class-based feat progression.
i thought the same, but it is no where. i even specifically took no feats to raise my abilities, since we were starting at level 10 with no magic items. but thank you for the information on the action itself!
It's not a Feat. It's just called optional class features
Check your class page of the character builder and see if you have an extra drop-down menu called optional feature manager. If you do it should list one or two additional features that you can pick if your DM lets you do that sort of thing, one is called The Crooked Moon Dark Bargain and the other is Magical Circle casting. You may have more if you got other third party stuff that includes optional features but those are the two I have so I'm using them as an example. Make sure the Crooked Moon Dark Bargain is unchecked if you're not wanting to use that.
Another way to get rid of it would be to go to the home section of your character builder and scroll down to the section called optional features. There are two boxes there one says optional class features and the other says customize your origin. Make sure optional class features is unchecked that will get rid of that whole extra drop-down menu I talked about before, but it will also get rid of any other optional features like the Magical Circle casting that you might want to still have.
