The Spells section looks like it's missing the Elemental Evil spells, as well as the four spells introduced in the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide for the Bladesinger. Will these get added soon? It would be wonderful to have all the spells in one place so once doesn't need to keep supplemental books handy.
I came here to post the same thing. I agree that if this is to be THE compendium of information for D&D, then it's important to include information from all published material.
I'm also seeing a ton of spells that aren't listed in either the PHB, EE, or SCAG. Does anyone know where they're coming from? I've got all the official books Wizards as put out, so I'm not sure where those spells are covered. It also might be a good idea to have the spell descriptions tagged with their source.
This beta is just srd content. Once beyond goes live, srd will still be free, additional will cost you
Well, the Elemental Evil Player's Companion is a free additional document, so I think the OP is asking if there ends up being a free version of D&DB, could it also include the additional free content, not just those packaged in the SRD.

The current word is that the free version will be SRD only.
So, does that mean that you'd get the SRD for free in D&DB, and that things like the Elemental Evil Player's Companion would be in other sections, but unlike the pdf version (which is free on the WOTC site), you'd have to pay to have access to those in D&DB? That seems weird. I imagine when the EEPC was written WOTC wasn't really considering something like D&DB. But since that's where we are, it would be nice to add any free, supplemental PDFs they create to a free section of D&DB as well.
In fact, WOTC might want to reconsider the strategy of having additional content as a downloadable PDFs on their website, and instead, push people to D&DB to get it.
What I'd like to see is a reference to where each spell comes from... if it's in the System Reference Document and the PHB, then it would be good to see both those references.

Source notes would be a great addition for when there are more sources represented in the database.

Assuming you mean the non-free D&DB, not if they want me to continue playing and buying D&D 5e. After 4e (where it is basically unplayable without the online subscription character builder and content), I will not support content being put behind a subscription paywall (there are other highly functional character builders for 5e so tools don't worry me).
I have no issue buying content (I own most books) at fair prices (which is why I don't own Hero Lab). I'm opposed to subscription models when there are no other options. I do wish WotC would sell PDFs of their books but that's not related to D&DB.
You can filter by source in the advanced filters, and in the details of each spell, the source is listed in small, italicized text in the bottom right hand corner.

I meant, put out new free content in the free area of D&D Beyond instead of posting PDFs on the website. That way, people still get it for free, and digitally. The advantage for WOTC would be not having to maintain a series of PDFs along with the content in D&DB.

This thread has some discussion on it:

In short:
There are all the spell appearing on the System Reference Document (SRD). This is true for magical items and monsters as well.

I'd additionally note that I'd like to see things from the (also free) Unearthed Arcana documents.

Jack of All Trades
Thanks!
