Filter spells by range

I am planning on having a close ranged spell caster and would like a way to search for spells that have a range of self/touch so that one can look up spells that are close ranged that can work on it.

If you go to the spells listing, you can sort by range. There's no filter button for it, but if you filter by other things (like class and spell level) and then sort by range, you should still come across the Self and Touch spells first.

how did you do that?

At the top of the list of spells, below the 'show advanced filters' link, is headers for each column of the spell results. The little up/down arrows indicate those columns are filterable: click once and it'll filter lowest to highest. Click again and it'll filter in the opposite direction. To get the 'range' column to appear on my phone I had to turn it to landscape mode and zoom out/make the text smaller, so if you're on a phone you might have to play around a little.
