While the Forum subscriptions are a nice feature[1], having browser-level notifications would provide a near real-time notification of changes we're tracking. I'm thinking having browser notifications on threads would be sufficient as having them on people and/or forums we watch would become 'too noisy'.

[1] Completely acting like a typical user :P would it be possible to implement some kind of email notification frequency? Meaning, instead of daily, can we, maybe, have: weekly digest, immediate, or none? On specific subscriptions. For example: say I'm following User A, Forum B, and Forum C. I would like to be able to specify: for User A, I would like a weekly digest; for Forum B, I want immediate notification (new threads, updated threads); Forum C, I don't want any email notifications but I still want the default website notification (i.e. red number on the notification icon).
