Any Ideas people have for the campaign management implementation? Personally, I'd like to see maps become interactive. So have a map of the forgotten realms and the other worlds. For instance if you wanted your players to travel from Lyrabar to the Pirate Isles on a quest you could drop pins at both places and it would randomly generate a route, calculate distance, required rations, calendar dates, upcoming festivals, cost of ship hire, possible random encounters along the route, what the weather is like that day, what taverns are there and a randomized bar keep for each one, a variety of vessels and their captains and their prices for taking on travelers, what is for sale in any towns along the route (can the players resupply fully or is Lyrabar out of arrows or potions?) (are there magic items being auctioned), when you placed the pin it might being playing a sea chanty or other music in the background or seaside sound effects like sea gulls, windy weather effects and ships bobbing in the harbour.
I realise this is a lot to ask and probably not able to be implemented but it'd be cool. I realise these options make dnd sound like a videogame rather than the table top imagination station we all love and it could just be the lazy DM in me but this would help to add all those extra flavour details that make a game immersive.

What are other people's ideas?
I can do without all this at launch. HOWEVER, I do think it would be a great idea for after launch.
I'd like to see a way to track NPCs, perhaps a name generator with that too (donjon.com has a good example of one).
I also would like to see a place to upload maps. It would be cool if they allowed for a hex map or grid to overlay and size appropriately for any map art you'd like to use. I like to draw on my tablet, so it would be fun to upload maps that I have made for my campaign.
Organizing your home brew campaign can quickly become difficult as the game is played over many sessions and information is added or expanded on. It would be nice to see a good structured, clean looking page to categorize and display information for the DM to their players. I think it would be good to have the following:
Campaign bible: This would be a brief overview of the campaign that the players could make use of. Not the ten page history you wrote, just stuff that the characters can use to make informed decisions without feeling overwhelmed by the information in your campaign. Brief time lines, your villages brief history in bullet points, a couple of the major political events that affect you, races common to this game's realm. Stuff like that.
Campaign Journal: this could be a recap journal. Somewhere that the DM can make brief summations of the game, which could include useful things that normally get lost in play (i.e. Has your character used a Tome of Clear Thought already?)
Detailed History: this could be a "DMs eyes only" section which has all their plots, plans and ALL the information on their game world yet to be discovered.
A wiki that automatically links to campaign information that either already exists (such as a setting wiki that you choose) or one that you create as you go along. This would track creatures (including NPCs and PCs), places, events, and whatever else you wanted to. So, if you mention a thing in an entry and there's already an entry for the thing you mentioned, it turns those words into a link to that wiki entry.
Also, a calendar to schedule games that's integrated with google calendar and outlook.

The wiki feature would be great. Being able to link between documents using code like on the forums or reddit would be helpful. What would be truly amazing is either suggestions popping up when you type an NPCs name that is somewhere in the campaign site or a button/shortcut/right click menu item that would let you type the text for a link and it would automatically start searching the pages you have created to find it.
Some really cool ideas guys. Loving it. I guess I'm really interested in automated options like each day of travel automatically deducting food and water from players inventories. Weight categories automatically tallying and alerting plays that they are encumbered. Basically all the stuff I could not be bothered to calculate as it takes up time when I want to focus on the story. It would be cool if the images files for creatures and players could be shared so that the awesome artists among us can supply us all with cool character pictures and varied takes on the different monsters. They would get credit of course and possibly a link to their details so they could draw for commissions. Any new ideas?
now all we need is a text version with all the highlights ;)
But on a serious note, I love the suggestions everyone is coming up with. I love the idea DM_Tom came up with for a Campaign Bible, Journal and History. You definitely get a lot of stuff as you run a campaign. I am starting a new one from scratch in the past couple of weeks and already have a three page overview of the area, another short item for two subclasses of elf I have added to this world, and two things mapped for setup for the start (RP and all that start admin stuff) and where the first scenario is to happen. Still working on a map of the entire area where most things will happen for awhile. Then there is the fun of my writeup of what things I need to do the whole spiel, track all the monsters they will encounter, NPCs, etc. So even the start gets to be several pages of information along with ways for the characters to make decisions so you have some options ready to go. Though players might decide to do something you totally never thought of! ;) Thankfully I never saw a huge derailing by players on tabletop, but I saw a weekend at LARP derailed two hours into Friday night since the players did not take EITHER option the staff thought they would.
So really love the ideas of tracking the info and having ease to pull things up and print them out or pop them in Roll20 as needed would be great. There is no way possible to save the day of players derailing you, but at least you can find stuff fast in this app to throw at them for going the wrong way. ::evil grin::

Well those are my thoughts for now :)
