If this site has to have ads on it, please rearrange them on the page. When I'm looking at monsters or items and the ad appears where I expect to see in-universe art, it is jarring and intrusive. Better yet, remove the ads, because a paid service shouldn't need ads if people are paying.
I'm logged in, yes. I must have a free account, yet paid content is being shared with me from someone else's account. I don't know how payment tiers work in this product. I just find the ad placement intrusive. If ads are necessary, I'd love them to be moved elsewhere on-page.
and yes Dropbear I use adblocking software. However the ads on this domain work anyway. Wikia/Fandom must have an agreement with AdBlock.
That sounds like someone in your campaign has Content Sharing enabled. If that option is enabled, everyone in the campaign will have access to paid material that other players in the campaign had purchased. I believe this option comes with the subscription options for this site.
As a side note, AdBlock doesn't block some of the ads on D&D Beyond because it looks like they use dynamically changing CSS classes. It's a common technique used to bypass adblock filters. In other words, it's not something wrong with AdBlock.
True, however, I don't know any better ones. I know that AdBlock Plus does sell out to other companies and purposely whitelists certain ads. As far as I know, AdBlock doesn't but the actual ad blocking provided by the extension isn't all that great. For a lot of sites, you have to manually block ads, which defeats the purpose of the extension in the first place.

I feel it's kinda uncouth to be discussing or advocating for adblocking extensions on the very site that generates revenue from ads which is why I only hinted at it in my OP but... the hint as to which extension is a good one is in the picture I posted.

To keep things back on-topic - You have a free account. As seen on the subscriptions page, either the Hero or Master Tier will remove ads.
Shared content from someone else will not remove ads for you. You are not a paying customer per previous statement:

If you have a Hero or Master tier subscription you should not see any ads.

I mean, just sayin', it's an option...
Then again, $3pm is less than some Patreon subs and you get way more than you get from most Patreon subs.

Having loaded things up not logged in, I'm not seeing ads where art should be, just below it.
None of the paid service versions have ads, are you logged in?

AdBlock, the most popular and most useless ad blocking extension.
