Just saw an article saying Matthew Colvile created a class with it's own subclasses, as opposed to leaving it as homebrew for Matthew. Why not give him the Critical Role treatment and bring it over as Unoffical Playtest Content? It is definitely something I personally would use and I am sure I am not alone. He is a very knowledgeable DnD DM and player, and I am sure he wouldn't go out of his way to create something unusable. It sounds like something people have been flavoring and homebrewing for a long time and the new class (Which I heard was called the "Illringer") would be a welcomed and pleasant addition to the classes we currently have access to.
I certainly agree that new classes would be cool, but currently DDB is limiting their unofficial content.
They have stated that they were looking into collaborating with other D&D content makers, and that allowing homebrewed base classes were on the list of future features.
This is only the first iteration of the illriger and as Matt C said in his video, it's something that'll need developing and reworking as he goes through it with his player. The version of Gunslinger and Blood Hunter are not Matt M's version 1, so expecting the Illriger on Beyond straight away is a bit premature.

This is actually not the first ideation. It was in a Plethora of Paladins article that has some age on it. Matthew just brought it back to 5E.
This is Colvilles first iteration of it, for 5th edition
