For the record, proper web apps should hide the url bar and have a proper app icon. That's not Apple exclusive, it's like that on Android as well. I'm on Android, using chrome, and I can't full screen the web app because it doesn't identify as a web app. It's incredibly dated in terms of web app standards.
Hi guys!
I have a simple request: until we get character sheets in the app, could you make the dndbeyond website available in fullscreen for iOS and Android? I'd love to add my campaign or character as a shortcut to my home screen (without the address bar/browser controls). Here is what I mean https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/native-hardware/fullscreen/#launching_a_page_fullscreen_from_home_screen
This is probably one of the lowest pieces of hanging fruit out there. Only a few lines of code and some web app icons.
Keep up the good work!
Fullscreen
like this?: https://imgur.com/scPDjG9 (I hope this link works, my first time trying this.)
That was default chrome. Fullscreening an app is a feature of my phone/OS. And you can put bookmark links on the home screen with the App.
Yes! Only I use iOS and this cannot be done in safari unless implemented by the developer.
Oh, so you were just hoping they could make extra features for iOS to make up for what Apple doesn't.
Try posting about it here and see if it gets enough support to be developed. https://ddb.ac/feature-requests
