I have just spent the the last 3 hours creating a home brew magic item, which after the first required save, I edited with the additional information tabs and made some text changes to the the original save. However, while after three tries the main page with the items description was updated, namely the image I had added, the additional information was not displayed when you select 'DETAILS' link. I had deleted and RE-CREATED this item again with same results. It's looking like, in order for my home brew item to convey the info I want to share - it has to be done on the first information pane, is a work around, the the additional information is required for my player to use DnD Beyond proper with their character sheets - otherwise - Why bother including additional anything when it does not display?
Maybe making the spells link to the DnD Beyond spells is interfering with the additional information? I understand the warning on the links for not being able sharing with the community, and I good with that.
Hey! I was looking for the answer to this problem when I saw your post. It didn't help me out so I decided to mess around the settings. It seems if you edit the version to a higher number than what it was already set to, it will update. For example, I had set it to version 1. When I updated the version to 2 my homebrew item finally updated it's information in the character sheet. If you haven't already set a version number, put it to 2. Just in case the system has it defaulted to 1.
Short Version:
Change the version number to a higher number.
If you haven't already set a version number, set it to 2.
Edit: Without anyone needing to say anything I realized I was a little forward with my response. Your question let me know that it wasn't a new issue. So without I wouldn't have made a second pass at it without your question.
