Hey guys! I love D&D Beyond and have been using it almost from the beginning.
I do almost exclusively Adventure League play and DM and one thing that might be a useful option (particularly for players) would be to add an Adventure's League PHB + 1 (or Basic Rules +1 if the user doesn't have the PHB) toggle onto the home page of the character sheet under sources where the other campaign specific options are (like Eberron Content for example). Adventurer's League rules state that a player may only use rules from the PHB and one other source to create their character.
I envision once toggled on (probably off by default) there would be a drop down menu to select whatever other sources the user has purchased from the list as their + 1 and from there on out all the content in their character sheet is filtered down to only those two sources so they don't accidently select one from outside those sources. The user (of course) shouldn't be forced to choose a +1 as they could easily make a character only with Basic Rules or Player's Handbook if they like.
An example of how this would be extremely useful in particular is with spells. You guys have a wonderful filtering system if you visit the spells page, but if your in the character sheet build mode trying to select spells for your character, you basically have to open up a new tab to the spells page and filter by source in order to see your valid choices while updating your character.
A few exceptions to the PHB + 1 rule in Adventurer's League exist at the moment and are as follows. While this selection is enabled, it would also be great if these choices were filtered appropriately:
- Tortle Race, which technically come out of the Tortle supplement, but for Adventure League the Player's Guide says it should be considered part of the Xanathar's Guide to Everything as it's source. - The Aarakocra race out of Elemental Evil Player's Guide is not a valid choice for AL play. (Probably something to do with them having fly speed) - Variant Aasimar and Eladrin option from the DMG are not valid choices for characters in AL. However, the ones published in Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide and Volo's Guide are. - The "Blessing of Corellon" out of Mordenkian Tome of Foes is always an option for characters who don't have that source as their +1. - The variant Human language options from Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide are always an option for characters who don't have that source as their +1.
Sorry for the necro but did this get scrapped because I did not see it on the roadmap anymore yet I also don't see it as an option in the Character Builder.

AL integration and validation is on the roadmap. It'll likely come once they finish content management
