We are making characters for a campaign and while I can make gestalt characters where only one spellcasting class is involved it gets complicated with two with Warlock involved.
How do I add bard spellcasting lists and options to a warlock template? I have looked at Eldritch Knight and Arcane Trickster but it is absolutely not working out.
Is there something I'm missing, Is this just not possible or implemented?
Giving a full spellcaster access to another list is easy, it is the slots in this case which do not appear
Looks like you have the list which is the easy part.
Normally to add spell slots to a subclass you just need to make a feature named Spellcasting. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a bug when combining pact magic with spellcasting. The work around is to take a level in a spellcasting class to correct it.
I tried adding a level of bard to the sheet but it doesn't do anything. Do you need something specific written in a location except calling the feature spellcasting?
So all you did was add a class feature spellcasting, nothing else anywhere.
Then you added one level of bard (cause the gestalt is bard) and then you levelled the gestalt to level 17 and the first level class has level 9 spell slots?
ok. I first took a level of bard and then levelled up the subclass and I got level 1-9 slots. That works like a charm. How do I than add the spells per level that would be required since we can only choose level 0-1 spells (since bard level is 1)
Ok, it looks like the warlock can't add higher than level 5 spells. Going to have to add pact magic to a bard subclass and a level of warlock then. The system isn't really meant to do this.

Is the reverse easier? Adding pactmagic to a spellcasting class?

Same bug, similar work around. You need 1 level in warlock to correct it.

No. You should gain both spellcasting and pact magic slots as you level up the gestalt class.
the bardic slots don't appear somehow. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. It is the one thing missing and it seems impossible to solve -_-

It works for me. I just added "Spellcasting" to a warlock subclass and added a level of spellcaster class. At level 17, it has level 9 slots.

Do I add those as a class feature?
