I've seen the Modron pic on others (e.g., Giant Wolf Spider), too. Maybe the Modron pic is the default for the entry having no pic available? If so, it's a poor choice.

D&D player and DM since 1981. I learned to play D&D at Band Camp (none nerdier). Favorite RPGs: D&D 5e, The Burning Wheel. Currently running a homebrew-ish Nentir Vale campaign (5e).
Now Minotaur Skeleton has Lich picture, as well as Ghoul, Mummy Lord, Skeleton, Warhorse Skeleton, and Will-o'-Wisp. I presume, Lich is now default for all no-picture-given-Undead.
I imagine there will be a good bit of place holder content since this is still in beta. Here's hoping that we get accurate representations when all the copyrighted WotC material eventually makes it in.

A depiction of adventurers hiding from Modrons is the image shown for the Minotaur Skeleton, Skeleton, & Warhorse Skeleton on their respective pages.

Noticed that searching (filtering?) for Mind Flayer, Beholder and Illithid turn up no results.
Pegasus has Deva picture
Acolyte has goblin picture.
