Carriages, Carts, Chariots, Wagons, etc should be accessible in the Game Rules > Vehicles section and also in the Extras > Vehicles section of a character sheet.
Wee problem here is that there are no official statblocks for these vehicles, but it would still be nice.
There are currently two concepts of vehicles in D&D rules; vehicle (equipment) as found in the players handbook and vehicle (vehicles) as found in Ghosts of Saltmarsh, Acquisitions Incorporated and Descent into Avernus.
WotC has not transitioned wagons, carts, chariots etc out of the equipment category. As such, they do not appear in the extras menu. Adam has said that as soon as WotC errata's/updates this, vehicle (equipment) will remain in the equipment section.
The fact they don't have stat blocks is more than a wee problem because everything in the extras menu has a stat block, it's what defines an extra as opposed to equipment
The Players Handbook, Has Mounts and Vehicles in separate charts. You don't carry a 600 lb wagon on your person to count against encumbrance. I would love to see all vehicles in the other section.
But more important to me would be a separate weight and gear tracker, and stored items on said Mounts and Vehicles.
100% agree. I have to keep all gear on my character, customize it to be 0 weight, and track it separately. This could also tie into a container system. Vehicles, bags, etc could count as containers and store items in them. That way, you can track separate encumbrances and also know whether or not your carriage is over capacity without a conspiracy wall of inventory items accumulated over the campaign.
