Being relatively new, but always interested in the stories behind the stories, I am always surprised when names dropped in the PHB or other resources actually have a story behind it, like how Drizzt Do’Urden was actually an early campaign character and not just some random lore placed in the books. Other big names are Volo, Mordentainen, and other such big names...
However, I normally only find out in a passing message like "The epic take of when so-and-so played as Drizzt Do’Urden" or something like that, which has me very interested in knowing that historical piece of information. Sadly, as a newer player knowing that D&D Beyond is one of the most legitimate resources for D&D information and lore, I'm a little saddened to know that these epic tales aren't sourced on this site and was wondering if that could be fixed...
Could a tab be added to allow newer players to learn about the epic tales of key players? or am I possibly missing the mark when I search it out?
DDB provides the resources 'as printed' and cannot provide new information not found in the books. Wotc would have to be the ones making this change.
Your best bet would be to check out the Forgotten Realms wiki for information on these characters. It's an unofficial, but nonetheless exhaustive wiki.
