In all campaigns I played we had a house rule: A free feat at level one.
It would be very nice if one could build such a character in D&D Beyond.
And according to https://rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/102304/would-it-hurt-racial-balance-if-every-pc-gets-a-bonus-feat-at-level-1, this seems to be a common houserule.
