For most tools (the items listed as "kit" are fine) the only information given is it's name and that "each tool is needed for a specific trade, and requires its own proficiency". However, unless we somehow know what a cobbler is,we have no way of knowing unless we Google it. Therefore,I ask that the descriptions of these items be given more information, like what they are for and what they can do. Useing cobblers tools for example, you could say "a set of small hammers, files and nails used to make shoes and boots,or even modify existing boots with a hidden compartment" (it could be worded better but, meh, I'm no bard).
The problem is they can only use the description provided by official D&D content. Most, if not all, of the tool sets are listed in the Basic Rules/SRD with no description. More detailed descriptions can be found in Xanathar's Guide to Everything, but that's licensed content, and DDB apparently decided it wasn't worth it to make two versions of these items, one available for people who've purchased the relevant part of XGtE, and one with the SRD lack of description. This makes sense to me, as they've had trouble in other areas maintaining multiple versions of essentially the same thing.
