None of the subscriptions unlock content, and I think it is pretty clear you only get what the subscriptions says you will get when you pay for it. Nowhere does it mention that sourcebooks come bundled with it.
I also do not think the PHB nor any sourcebook should be bundled with any of the current subscriptions as that would just raise the price of the subscription.
The SRD, EEPC, and UA are enough free content as is to start playing D&D. Not even the three core rulebooks are necessary in my opinion.

Seeing as they pay licensing fees to sell the books in digital form for WotC, they would lose money doing this.
