I have been creating a homebrew feat that includes a +1 bonus to one of Strength, Dexterity or Constitution scores. I can create the feat but when I view the new feat in the character builder although the description includes the correct list of abilities, the drop down only allows me to choose between Strength, Constitution and Charisma (see image in link).

Furthermore, I noticed that because of the way this option has been set up some ability score combinations are not available, notably:
Strength or Intelligence,
Strength or Charisma,
Dexterity or Charisma,
Constitution or Charisma,
Wisdom or Charisma,
Any combination of three abilities with the exception of Dex/Con/Cha, Str/Con/Cha and Str/Dex/Con.
I am having a similar problem. I am trying to create a homebrew race with +2 CHA and +1 to any 2 other abilities, but it keeps giving me all options. Also, I would like to only be able to select +1 to any given ability aside from CHA, but it will let you choose two of the same ability. It works on the non-homebrew Half-Elf race so I even tried making a copy of the Half-Elf race, but even with leaving all of the options the same it doesn't work. Is there some kind of limiter on "Chose an ability" that I am missing?
Well, to be honest I raised this as a bug report for a specific option mentioned in the first paragraph. This appears to have been fixed (which I assume is why this thread has recently been moved from the Bugs and Support forum and marked as a request rather than a bug).
The second paragraph still hasn't been addressed, but that was more of an observation. The dev team understandably put their focus on ensuring that published content can be replicated rather than providing robust homebrew options. I hope that this will be fully addressed by Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, but this largely depends on what the new race rules looks like.
It does seem like adding these options should be a quick job since the framework for them already exists, however, the Fey Touched and Shadow Touched feats from a recent UA are each currently implemented as three duplicates of the same feat, with one version for each ability score rather than having one feat with a "Choose Intelligence, Wisdom or Charisma" option.
I couldn't find "Choose Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma". Still an issue I guess... I think the best way to fix this is to have a toggle box for the 6 scores upon "Choose an Ability Score" is selected.
Was trying to create the Shadow Touched feat in homebrew, no Int, Wis, Cha option. I really don't want to have 3 copies of one feat when they could simply add one option that would condense them all into one. 4-17-21

Just ran across this issue myself trying to make a Charisma/Wisdom choice so:

Be reasonable, it hasn't even been three years since it was first brought up yet!

Still an issue. And stops me from creating a Feat for Champion of the Forge (Myths of Theros - Purphoros)

Had the same exact problem creating a homebrew feat. Really annoying that this has never been adressed.
You'd think this would be an easy fix but I guess DnDBeyond just doesn't care lmao

No; "Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma" option still. Which is very common to use.
still a issue
Still an issue 8/10/2021. Why is this ticket not being escalated?
Evidently WotC need developers.
