yah this site is frustrating. i can understand being able to buy official content from here but with all the jank of the homebrewing system its agravating to use the books i have bought in person. i am beyond tempted to just say screw this site and have my players manually right down their characters. since at least then they will have options instead of being locked to very few subclasses and subraces(cleric is the big one, one of my players was forced into being a life cleric when they didn't want to be. then one player was forced to make a wizard since Artificer is not available to him.)
now i know this is probably going to get me hate(since keyboard warriors attack anyone they see) but i highly recommend not using this site unless you havent bought any of the source material and plan to do so here
The part you seem to have missed is that Beyond is not owned by Wizards of the Coast, it is a separate company entirely that is licensed to sell DnD products to use with their own tools. If you want to take the time to use the homebrew tools to allow you access to your physical stuff, that's fine. Though, I do agree that the tools need to be improved on since they are... difficult to use at times.
You disliking the site is fine, but sitting here complaining and telling people not to use it because you can't use your physical stuff is like buying a physical Playstation disc and whining that you shouldn't use Xbox because Microsoft won't give you a digital copy of the game you bought and thus Xbox shouldn't be used ever unless you plan to buy Xbox games...
Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
