It seems that the app is permanently in dark mode, but it looks weird in split view when the rest of the system is light. Would you support dark/might mode switching on the iOS app?
I just started using the mobile app, and the dark mode just really isn't pleasant for my eyes. I was surprised that there's no option for a light mode in the app, though. Isn't light mode the norm -- the view developed first, and the default? Strange to start off with a dark view.
Thank you for adding this to the books. I'd also *really* like to have a setting (hopefully the default setting IMO) to adopt the theme of the device. So if my device is in light mode, the app shows content in light mode, and vice versa. Thanks so much!

Or just allow a light mode, period. My eyes do not like white-text-on-dark-background, and it's enough to make me stop using the app entirely.
Please support light mode in app. White on black text causes after images. Or be able to adjust colors. Light colors on gray isn’t so bad.
I totally agree. Content should be in lighter backgrounds.
In my opinion the listing tool is the best feature of the app but I’m still reading from the site due to the black background
Thank you all for this feedback.
We realise it's taking time but it's definitely not forgotten.
Voting for this. I can't use the app until light mode is available, and I have to use the website.
Please enable light mode, I can’t use dark mode only.

2 yrs since this post. Was it forgotten?
Not by me! Still waiting for a usable iOS app.
Also looking for white background on the mobile app.
