If you try to use the “Book” display mode on an ipad in landscape mode, the start of the pages have text overlaying an image making it extremely hard to read on some of the books such as Xanathars Guide to Everything, Monster Manual, Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons, Volo’s Guide to Monsters etc.
On another note, if your iPad is set to dark mode in the system settings, then the Basic Rules and Players Handbook have a dark grey background with grey text when in “Book” display mode, which makes it extremely hard to read anything on the pages.
Here’s an example from Volo’s Guide to Monster’s and Dragon of IceSpire Peak. The images appear on every page at the top with text overlaying it, making it hard to read. I’m using an iPad Pro 2020 11”
I’m having the same issue. My iPad is a 2021 5th Generation 12.9. IOS version 15.6. Issue has been in effect for a couple of weeks now. See attached screenshots. Any help would be appreciated.
Was this ever resolved? Mine has started doing something similar to what is being described in the earlier Feb posts on my iPad Pro. I can at least get some of the books to update to a light mode which makes it readable, but some of them are black lettering on a dark grey background.

It hasn’t been resolved yet, no. I’m still getting this problem with both the image and text overlay problem, as well as the dark mode issue that I described in the original post. I found a slight workaround, if you do a split screen with another app such as safari, you can have the d&d beyond app take up 3/4 of the screen and everything then looks correct. Not ideal, but at least works correctly when multitasking, but would be nice to view the books properly again like we used to be able to
I have the same issues regarding the text overlaying the picture at the start of each page and sometimes the width of a text is super slim when there is a picture besides like in post #7.
It also seems to be a problem in multiple maybe all books. I've tested a couple and the problem was in every one I tested.
I'm using the Samsung tab s8 ultra. It's both vertical and horizontal mode.
To that second point for about three weeks the font, font size and general layout of the text in all of the books i have on DnD beyond (PhB, MM & DMG) is permanently changed to awkward and inconvenient. And I can only really read any text when the display style is set to „book“ regardless of my system settings.

Thank you!
With regards to the text overlaying an image, would you mind sharing a screenshot or two depicting what you exactly mean?

Awesome, thank you!
I can confirm I’m also seeing this issue. But using a standard iPad.
Same here. Sent issue to support.

That works on mine as well. I appreciate it. Thanks.

Could you share a screenshot of the problem you are experiencing? Is it on Android or iOS? What OS version?
