I mean having to option to turn that off, requiring the user to check for updates manually, presumably by refreshing the library. The main draw for having this as an option at least for me is that I don't always have a strong signal or even no signal at all so it can sometimes take a minute or two for the app to decided to give up trying.

If I can't say something nice, I try to not say anything at all. So if I suddenly stop participating in a topic that's probably why.
Like the title says I would like for a setting to be added that could let us turn off the automatic source update checker
