I noticed today that looking at sourcebooks in the D&D Beyond app (latest update, iOS 17.2, iPhone 13 Pro), the page renders look like a website circa 1995. The rendering is fine in mobile Safari, however. I have it set to "Book" mode in the display settings. I did a check on the iPad, and that seems to render as expected in book mode.
Here's what it looks like in the app:
And here's what it looks like in mobile Safari:
Is this something wonky with my settings? Or is it a bug in the app? Thanks!
I have the same problem (iOS 17.1.2, iPhone 13), but my brother's phone (iOS 17.1.2, iPhone SE(2022)) renders the books correctly. I don't believe it to be a settings issue, because no matter what settings I have activated, the only visual effect is switching between light mode and dark mode. It's not an iOS bug, but it might be a bug with the iPhone 13 series. I don't know how long mine has been like this, I assumed it just hadn't been configured for mobile until my brother pointed it out. Have you figured out a fix yet?
Well, I'm glad it isn't just me. But I haven't figured out how to fix it on my phone yet. I need to have my kids check on their phones and see what it looks like, as they have different hardware. It makes no sense that it'd be a hardware problem, but maybe there's some rendering magic on the newer hardware. I guess I'll just be using the iPad or the web browser for reading until it's fixed.
I just fixed the problem!!! I just deleted the app and redownloaded it, and the app fixed itself😂 I feel like an idiot for not trying that before now. See if that works for you!

Well. That did the trick for me as well. Thanks for the successful investigation roll!
It keeps happening. I’m tired of having to delete the app every couple weeks!!
