Hi, I am a part of D&D club and we were wondering if it were possible to have an account for the club? Does anyone know if this is possible or are accounts personal and private only?
I see that there is a school/store package and I wonder how these work if the teacher or employee moves or quits?
In my opinion it would be up to your school. If the school is paying for the account it would be owned by them and I doubt they would even want to do it. If you buy the account and it goes with you then no problem.

The school doesn’t have a budget for clubs? It’s not objectively different from buying or renting equipment.

Depends on the school. Mine does not. But the budget is not the issue here. The problem is keeping up with an account that would need to transfer the login from person to person. It would be too much trouble to keep up with. Also most schools have a bid list that they are required to purchase from so I would be surprised if dnd beyond were on this list. There are ways around the list ofc, but in my personal opinion having a personal account and sharing is still the best option.

I’m not sure what the effective difference would be, technically?
