So i came up with this weird character concept, is about a human hand-crossbow archer, who was cursed by a devil and now has a fiendish look, tiefling would be the obvious choice, but is really important to get the human variant extra feat for crossbow expert.
My ideia was to simply use the normal human stas and add the fiendish apparence, obviously less than a tiefling, like small horns and tail, sharp fangs and red eyes
i put +1 in dex and +1 in int from the human stats to show his fiendish traits
i know that is up to the DM, but what you guys think? whould you guys allowed?
If the traits you mention are strictly cosmetic I don't see an issue. But if you were trying to get darkvision in there and such, I could see a DM having issues.

Trade your variant human bonus skill for 60' darkvision (with DM approval) and take Infernal as your human bonus language.

I wouldn't have a problem with that as the DM. Your changes are cosmetic/flavor only, so no issues here. That's all about character development.
