Honestly, I don't think Mowgli lends himself well to becoming a dnd hero. I've not read the book, but I've watched several jungle book films and Mowgli is generally saved by his friends rather than the one doing the saving. Probably better as an NPC!
Druid is probably the best option for him, or ranger.

An adult version of Mowgli could be anything. I kind of like Druid, Circle of the Shepherd. I could also see Barbarian, Path of the Totem Warrior.
