I am trying to figure out how to share the content I have on DND Beyond with the group I am DM-ing. Any advice, direction, or steps would be appreciated.
You need a Master Tier subscription. Once you have that, you can use the button for Content Management in every campaign you're part of (so not just your own) up to a limit of 5 to enable content sharing. If desired, you can also block certain sources from being shared (books in their entirety, so no piecemeal mechanics).

A buddy of mine shared a book with me MoTm and not of the races are popping up as available when I got to make a character is there a reason why or did he mess up when sharing it with me and he does have a master subscription
Try to pick a random race first and finish the character. Double check if the character is in the DM's campaign and then edit the character and pick the race you were supposed to have. It should be available. I keep getting this problem with my players when I try to share content, and I'm not sure what we're doing wrong, but this workaround usually solves it. As long as a) your DM as clicked "Content sharing enabled" on that specific campaign and b) you have joined it though the campaign link.
What I was trying to do is get the Fairy race from the Monsters of the multiverse book and the race option isn’t there would be because someone is already sharing content with me?

Are you making the character within the campaign that the content is being shared through?
In order to access shared content in the character builder, the character needs to be in the campaign (either by being made there, or joining the campaign with the character)

Have the DM try to unshare content on the Campaign, then reshare. That just fixed it for me!
