So we are playing descent into avernus and i want to have my backup ready for just in case so I have a few ideas but idk what i really want. (For those who may not know we are going to be facing a lot of fiends)
1. Genie pact warlock elf (our homebrew race of elf)
yeah that one really started interesting me, my only worry is fiends all have magic resistance and aberrant mind sorcs have so little non saving throw spells I noticed... other than that i have a theme i also really love for it since my DM would allow me to get the van ritchmens guide dark gift of the watchers to add to the odd rp side of it.
Imagine a traveling psychic with little annoying living creatures following and watching him like it is strait out of a gibbly film

Good point about the resistance; I never thought of that. You could take Heightened for one of your metamagics to help out in clutch situations.

Good point about the resistance; I never thought of that. You could take Heightened for one of your metamagics to help out in clutch situations.
Have you considered an archer of some sort?
My group keeps track of ammo and I really don’t want to deal with that, only reason I have range on my artificer is due to returning shot...
So for me it’s either melee martial or caster
