So, I'm in a game that incorporates a variant of the druid class that uses Charisma as its spell casting stat rather than Wisdom. Is there a way to adjust spell casting modifier or at least get stats on the character sheet to display properly?
I am afraid there is currently no way to change the coded Spellcasting ability of reference for casters.
This is something that maybe will be addressed with the coming character sheet update, but this is the first time I see this mentioned, so it might not be included.

I'm currently trying to create a home-brew item that grants spells and uses WIS as the spellcasting modifier but I'm having no luck figuring out how to do that. Looks like maybe that option is still unavailable?

Are you trying to:
Make an item that grants spells that can either be cast (x) times per rest?
An item that uses charges to cast the spell?
An item that just puts the spell on the character's spell list?
And having Wis as the spellcasting mod because:
You want the spells cast from this item to specifically use Wisdom?
The character-in-question's spellcasting mod is already Wisdom?
Looks like maybe that option is still unavailable?
The option to change the innate spellcasting stat each class uses is still unavailable, but that doesn't seem like what you're really asking for.
If you just want to be able to add spells that aren't normally on a class spell list, have that spell use a specific stat, and have that spell also scale depending on slots, then you can accomplish that now. Make a homebrew version of the spell(s) you want, and tag them as being available for the class(es) you want.

You don't know what fear is until you've witnessed a drunk bird divebombing you while carrying a screaming Kobold throwing fire anywhere and everywhere.
Yeah I was kind of vague— sorry. I was looking for the item itself to cast its spells with the user’s WIS score acting as the spellcasting modifier. The item is Druidic in origin and the item has no class restrictions so I thought it just made sense. As of now it seems you can only check the “use primary ability score” box to get the user’s spellcasting modifier as a bonus (the spell in question is a healing spell) but changing the ability the spell uses thus far does not seem to be possible

No prob! You'll have to homebrew the spell, and then link that spell to the item.

I don’t think there’s a way to change the spellcasting ability per spell either

There is. When you are creating a homebrew spell, you set the ability that the spell uses.

Ugh, you're right... there WAS a way to specify which ability the spell used, but that has now been replaced by the "use primary" box you mentioned...
1 step forward, 8 steps back...

For me it usually does it automatically
Marvarax and Sora (Dragonborn) The retired fighter and WIP scholar - Glory
Brythel(Dwarf), The dwarf with a gun - survival at sea
Jaylin(Human), Paladin of Lathander's Ancient ways - The Seven Saints (Azura Claw)
Urselles(Goblin), Cleric of Eldath- The Wizard's challenge
Viclas Tyrin(Half Elf), Student of the Elven arts- Indrafatmoko's Defiance in Phlan

Bumping this - is this option available as of now? Needing it to accommodate homebrew rules.

The functionality that's really needed is the ability to homebrew full classes, not "just" subclasses.
