I have an Artificer that I can't decide what race would be best for it. Also this Artificer will be leveling up soon so I want your opinion on what classes would be good to multi class with an artificer.
Also as an Artificer I asked my DM if I could turn myself into a cyborg, thus technically making me a warforged version of my race so .... yeah need ideas.
It depends? I say this because you don't mention any "theme" at all and are you interested in RP or stats. It does sound like your interested in being a hybrid so I would recommend the custom Lineage from Tasha's as it allows players to flavour their race any way they want and would be less of a headache for the dm having to come up with homebrewing.
Gnomes are renowned for their tinkering so this would make sense for the base class and it is an excellent base class for an artificer, I understand not everyone is a fan of playing small races. (Multiclass as a wizard)
Aasimar. Bit of a weird one but perhaps your character was unwillingly ripped from the higher planes and crippled in the process, you turned to science to repair your body. (Default stats are not great so would need to use customized origin/custom lineage-multiclass as a cleric)
Hobgoblin has great stat increases and since they tend to love war you could RP it as being wounded in battle and becoming cyborg to survive. (Multi class as a fighter)
You could either double down on the spellcasting and go wizard. (Maybe bladesinger)
Cleric would be an interesting one. (Forge domain seems fitting) and a good wisdom score is always nice for saves. I personally would stick to cleric spells that don't require high wisdom such as bless to avoid it being to MAD.
Fighter has some interesting subclasses that rely on intelligence if you are up for a 3 level dip for their features and if you start with fighter you get heavy armour proficiency, which means you can dump dex. (You don't get this if you start as an artificer and multiclass later)

Arcane trickster rogue could be fun. Has some spellcasting to synergize with your int. It also provides expertise on a couple skills, making you more of a skill monkey. The improved mage hand can also synergize well with a lot of artificer stuff RP-wise.
If you're going all the way to level 20 though, I'd go pure artificer tbh. It has some of the best features after level 10 and a really solid capstone. There's enough built in flexibility with the class to do basically whatever function.

Multiclass. This contains a more in depth guide. https://www.dndbeyond.com/posts/1035-artificer-201-a-guide-to-multiclassing
