a god for a noble house

so a background his family are nobles that are 100's of years old. they carder to an old god and always put the masses (people) first. when fighting with his son a vampire mortally wounds the father,,,,,, as the vampire turns on the son and starts to feed. he pleads to the god to save his son in return his soul is for ever. when the son wakes the vampire is slain by his father. looks up to see a aura that tells him you keep my favor and you will not turn.

hmmm so what you think

I think that sounds pretty solid for a backstory! Maybe even shift it to that the "God" ended up being some evil patron that forced your family into some sort of servitude? 

hmmm thinking how it turns you could be right but in the way a demon fiend could take advantage of the situation i kind of like the plot that thickness here
