I am looking to purchase maps of Faerun. I like the depth of the mythology around it, but I don't want adventures. I like creating my own worlds; just not the geography. Is this available anywhere?
I don't know of any offical content that covers the whole of faerun, and knowing how dnd works (espically when talking about the forgotten realms) The fan content is almost certainly more accurate to what is written in adventures and sourcebooks.

My homebrew content: Monsters, subclasses, Magic items, Feats, spells, races, backgrounds
Truth. But, If there is some official content, I am happy to pay for it for HD maps and the accompanying description of the various areas.
