I Like the Salt option (especially salt water ) To slow and damage the worms that will attack you. However, how to handle the Avatar is a bigger Question.?
We recently finished the Age of Worms adventure path and the party was able to capture his soul in a great big bottle of tequila. Seriously though, one of the top boss battles of all time. behind Lolth Demon web pits, and Acerek, Tomb of Annihilation. Good Luck. You will for sure need lots of Salt.
Mistborn20, this is from the Age of Worms adventure path published by Dungeon Magazine in around 2007 I think. It spanned over 12 Issues and is a great adventure. It has some down sides but the mythology is really good. I have found several Kyuss related Homebrew stuff here In D and D beyond. Just type in Kyuss under Browse Monster homebrew and it should pop up. There are some copies floating around the internet also. Hopefully you can check it out. Have fun.
