I know this was touched on in an earlier post before the contents were confirmed, but are there any new subclasses introduced in Tome of Foes? I preordered on DDB and have looked through it a little, but haven't seen anything on subclasses.

There are no subclasses in MToF. Only races as character options.
So, I started roaming the monsters in the new book and I must say...Who comes up with this stuff! Fantastic imagination and down right scary images... Great work!

A little bit of nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men... - Willy Wonka
It's very disheartening how seemingly ignored the mobile app is. :(
MToF just came out on D&D Beyond today, so it makes sense that there may be a delay to the mobile app. Same day upload can hardly be called "ignored"
As for my "disheartening" comment, that just stems from more than once hearing statistical quotes on the Twitch Dev streams about how the mobile app usage is low. Of course it is! Don't get me wrong, the content that exists is great, but the lack of character sheet functionality is going to clearly impact that usage figure as players don't actually have a choice.
I know, I know.
As an "old school' D&D player that only gave 5e a chance on a whim late last year, and is still very inexperienced with d20 mechanics and the new rules, I very much like the D&D Beyond tool. In fact, my investment in it (in addition to the hardcover books), honestly, may be *the* reasons I stuck with 5e long enough to give it a fair shake. I'm just grumpy because I rely heavily on the mobile app (since the content can be downloaded and an Internet connection isn't required) and I don't want development or investment into it to lag behind.
All that said, as a user, I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that new content, that is promoted for months in advance, be released on all platforms at the same time.
I will preface my comment by saying that I do really enjoy the D&D Beyond tool. Enough so that I cancelled my month-by-month Master subscription and switched to an annual one.
That said, as a user, I do feel the mobile app does feel ignored, or is lacking.
That "Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes" still isn't available on it is frustrating (even if we're only talking a matter of hours so far).
The lack of a character sheet (something that used to exist before the app was updated) is also frustrating.
The 'Appendix' content from the 'Tales from the Yawning Portal' is not available when the adventures are purchased piecemeal. I purchased just 'The Sunless Citadel' and the content from both 'Appendix A: Magic Items' (Night Caller, Shatterspike, Wand of Entange) and 'Appendix B: Creatures' (Sharwyn Hucrele, Sir Braford, Yusdrayl) are not able to be downloaded. At all. This is necessary information, and for someone that relies heavily on the mobile app (due to the ability to download content), it feels incomplete.
I contact support about this and was initially told: "The sources are only available in the app if you purchase the full book or compendium only bundle for the book."
When I questioned why, when there are no changes in the details of my purchase (e.g. just 'The Sunless Citadel'), the appendix information is available online, but not the mobile app, the following reply was received: "Permissions in the app are different from the website because the app is still in early stages of development."
So, I'm sorry, but I do believe my opinion that the mobile app is not receiving the same level of attention is justified.
Which, again, is not to suggest I'm unhappy overall with the tool... just venting.
I see Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes available for download on my iPhone, but not my iPad yet.
That's interesting that it would be available on one but not the other. While I love my Macbook, I don't care for iOS, and don't use mobile Apple devices. I may be way off here, but I would think the app, once updated in the iTunes Store, would be available to all Apple devices. Interesting.
I'm an Android user, and it's still not available in the Google Play version of the app.

So I see/hear that Tortles will be in this book. Does anyone know if it appears as a PC race or just as a "Monster" entry?

Ok, that's what I thought. Thank you!
Is MToF not on the app quite yet?
It is not ignored at all.
MToF will show up in the app later today.
