Well, that is disappointing. I was really hoping for some Spelljammer.
Yeah more information on one of the classic or new settings would've been cool, but honestly I love a good adventure anthology. I prefer them to published campaigns, since I like having the ability to drop modular adventures into an existing game, rather than just running one big game all the way through.
It remains whether to be seen how much of the lore I'll feel like using since it sounds like the Citadel itself is going to be more of a roleplay space than a place where adventures take place itself, but it's still a neat sounding place.
I feel like WotC has somehow tapped directly into my vague future plans for my current campaign with this release. "Hmm, how can I do some Sliders-style dimension-hopping after the party wraps up this story arc... ?"

Unfortunately this doesn’t really interest me. Maybe there are some interesting lore bits and the 11 monsters will be interesting but I don’t care for adventure modules, anthologies or not.
I’m happy others are excited but considering we already had 4 adventure books within the last year (Candlekeep Mysteries, Beyond the Witchlight, Strixhaven, and Call of the Netherdeep) I was hoping this would be for one of the campaign settings.
Oh well, guess I’ll keep waiting.

Unfortunately this doesn’t really interest me. Maybe there are some interesting lore bits and the 11 monsters will be interesting but I don’t care for adventure modules, anthologies or not.

No, they mean that they claim it like a dragon claims a hoard. But that is impossible, because my wife also demands that cover, and if there is only one to be had....the dragon must be slain.

With RC as a location-jumping hub I seriously doubt we'll see a 5e Planescape anytime soon, which is sad. I wanted Spelljammer so bad, but despite lots of hints and leaks that we will get it later this year I won't trust that until it is officially announced from WotC. Or isn't, which seems just as likely at this point.
Oh well, I'm happy for everyone that are excited for the Radiant Citadel. For me it's yet another product I have no interest in.
Yeah, the Radiant Citidal seems to be a way to compress Sigil and the Infinite Staircase into a location. Of course, Planescape's door could still be open if The Radiant Citidal professes there are other locations (such as Sigil and the Infinite Staircase) that also serve as junctures ... but that also may be all we get of it in this edition. Personally I think the "multiverse" thinking or direction 5e has claimed it is going in will likely lead to a Planescape Light, where means of traveling between Prime Material worlds and the Outer Planes (and maybe different iterations of the Outer Planes too) are laid out, but they're not going to give the faction etc "structure" to the multiverse that Planescape laid out.
The coolest thing this book could do on a sort of "meta" level is have each adventure take place in entirely different worlds _and_ in doing so demonstrate how easy world building can be.
Anthologies are neat, based on the popularity of Candlekeep, and the prior stated D&D desire to get more voices involved in "official WotC D&D" I'm expecting to see an anthology a year, and am happy with it. I rarely use a published adventure in its entirety, tending to steal little bits here and there. This book gives me at least 13-14 varied maps (presuming at least one per adventure) of locations I may not have thought of, and likely neat little bits of monsters and magic one can lift and drop elsewhere.
Plus it's a June book, I'd expect at least two other books beyond this to follow along WotC's previously state increased release tempo.
On the other hand, I think my earlier prognostication of a more metal book has biases stemming from getting into 5e via BG: DiA. I guess I'm going to have to write the epic Adventure based on Metallica's "Master of Puppets" all by myself. I should probably talk to someone who knows about licensing before I go to DriveThru or Kickstarter, right?
I like the alt cover, which is good because I usually order those. It sorta reminds me of the cover to Wildemont.

Wizards has a video with Ajit Pai where he says pretty much that. There's 27 gems people can use to go to other worlds. Each of the book's adventures is in a different one, and each one has its own gazetteer for that world, along with ways to incorporate the adventure into an existing world. But the remaining 12 crystals are intentionally left open ended, so DM's can connect their own homebrew worlds, or other existing worlds to it.

I personally think this looks really interesting. It's written entirely by BIPOC writers, inspired by cultures and folklore from their various heritages. One of them is Persian themed, another seems to be New Orleans Bayou themed, and so on.
Edit: We've gotten more information on some of the adventures and their source material. One of them is Meso-American-based, so Aztec or Mayan in theme, one of them is Caribbean-themed, another is India-themed, and so on.
It kind of does seem like "Planescape Lite" but definitely doesn't prevent us from getting a Planescape book in the relatively near future. (After Dragonlance and Spelljammer, though.)
