Reviewing the terms of service, after the transfer of ownership, does Beyond 20 plugin, used to connect DnD-Beyond with Roll 20 violate terms of service?
Specifically :
You agree not to engage in any of the following with respect to our Websites, Games, or Services:
(i) Data mining: Use any unauthorized means, process, or software that accesses, collects, reads, intercepts, monitors, data scrapes including without limitation, agents, robots, scripts, or spiders; or mines information (including reverse look-up or attempted tracing of Registration Data in any way and for any reason);
If it does, we'll find out when Wizards fires off a C&D, but from what I can see (haven't used it myself) it seems to just be sending roll macros to roll20 chat, not importing data from D&D Beyond into Roll20.
Beyond 20 doesn't scrape data, so that's not an issue. Beyond 20 is only using the data loaded into your browser, so it isn't doing anything with the data being transferred to/from the DDB servers. It also isn't saving data or attempting to mine information, etc. All of that said, I think that DDB could shut it down if they wanted to. I seem to recall that the developer of Beyond 20 had had some communication with DDB in the past and was making good faith efforts not to step afoul of any terms of service/use.
It would be unfortunate if DDB killed off Beyond 20 as I know many people use it for Roll20 and Foundry. I'm not sure why Wizards would want to kill it, unless they are developing tools or services it would compete with, or if they are changing their relationship with 3rd party VTTs, etc.

Emphasis on this, it would be remarkably stupid of them to do so.

They would lose a lot of their ongoing subscriptions if they chose to stop beyond20 working.
Just get a nod from whomever can give an official nod and problem solved.

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.

Exactly. The creator of Beyond20 has already stated that he has approval and coordinates with the DDB devs and has done so for quite some time. All terms of service everywhere are only if you do not have a separate agreement.

What I see is far more likely is that DDB is finally given the resources to build it's own API gateway so Beyond 20 becomes obsolete and each VTT can instead integrate directly to DnD beyond.

Data scraping was already not allowed.

Meh. The only problematic word is "authorized".
