I used a picture that it turns out had a copyright for a subrace I have created. I have not published this subrace yet. How do I get rid of the picture?
I'm sure there is a better answer, but I just played with my own homebrew and couldn't see a remove picture option.
Short term, you can just replace it with a placeholder picture. (Such as a generic monster picture. WOTC is generous with their media.)
However, you could probably just send a message to the copyright holder and ask permission. Many creators are fine with their content being used so long as they are properly credited.
It was a WotC picture, which is apparently specifically forbidden at this time. I just put up a white blank though. I also had a pic used for a character that I have made a default pic instead. I have not been on DnDB very long, and I haven't actually read the rules about homebrew content. I figured it would be ok because DnDB uses some of their content, but apparently not. Thank you for your help though. You would think there would be a remove button. I am actually betting that WotC deletes all of this anyway. Either that or lock it unless we have a paid subscription.
While I am not encouraging you to bypass DNDBeyond's software, you would probably be fine downloading the image, making modest alterations, and reuploading it. (Possibly include the WOTC "UNOFFICIAL content" disclaimer as small text in the image.)
Make it "your own", even if derivative.

WOTC has no reason to disrupt the usability of DNDBeyond. This platform has made their content vastly more accessible. If they put it behind a pay wall, it would immediately impact their growth and profitability. Consolidating is a common sense move that is in WOTC's best interest.

As it isn't published... create a new homebrew, copy the data, delete the original.
Ok. I didn't get an error. I simply became aware of DnDB's policy. If WotC is fine with using their images that's awesome. Also, if WotC keeps all of their content available for purchase and doesn't delete it or lock it with a subscription I will be stoked. I will also be buying their 5e books here rather than hard copies. Sorry for the late reply. Dony get online much and didn't notice the notification on the app. Thank you for your responses.

Can you share a picture of the specific error you recieved from DNDBeyond? And/or link to the image online?
Here is WOTC's Fan Content Policy.
