It seems as though they are planning to make a series for the film that's coming out - or at least, some films afterwards and it's reasonable to assume that they're not unconnected.
They also talked a lot about how classes work. The one that jumped out at me was the inplication that Rogues could be "not sneaky"? Or is that just to check we're paying attention?

They're probably gauging how much the fan base can tolerate character/class depictions. A bard who can't cast spells may make everyone angry and pan the movie, for example.
I was also amused by the spell spotlights. It felt a lot like, "What fan service do we need for the nerds to like our movie?"
