Hi all,
We realised that the options from Tasha's were not available to to us when creating my character (I'm new).
The DM has agreed to allow me to swap my rangers Natural Explorer for Deft Explorer even though I am now level 2 - https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/74179670
I need to figure out which skill proficiency to double & would like some input from more experience players.
We are playing Prince's of the Apocalypse & I will be picking Gloomstalker at level 3.
I am leaning towards doubling Perception (my character sheet is above).Any suggestions?
EDIT: I plan to take point when exploring.
Particularly in the dark, as a gloomstalker, I will be going ahead of my party.Which is why I am thinking perception

Perception is the best skill in the game, period. It's the best choice for absolutely everyone if you're offered 1 shot at Expertise.

Hi, thanks for the reply. What do you mean by expertise?
Do I gain expertise? I thought I just double my proficiency score?
What expertise means is doubling your proficiency bonus.
Ah, I see!NICE!!
If I fall in any traps after gaining expertise in perception, then I want my money back! lol
