Twitch seems to be very light lately almost consisting exclusively of re-plays. The feature I liked to watch the most was the Dev update. While it wasn't exactly predictable from week to week if it would show it mostly did and now we are over a month and no update just wondering if policy has changed, Joe is gone and no one picked it up, it's summer and vacations happened, just what?
The dev updates never seemed to be a big deal to them once Adam left, and now that the acquistion happened it seems like less of a priority than it was.
Combine that with Mellie being gone who was a big part of their community facing operation? (Not saying she was fired/let go/severed/left of her own accord, simply stating no longer here)
Welcome to 2022, where the community on the forums are an afterthought.

Welcome to 2022, where the community on the forums are an afterthought.
The forums are very much not an after thought, the community team is still hard at work answering questions where we can, dealing with reports, and making sure the forums are a safe and inclusive place for people to discuss D&D. The disruption to the dev updates is no way a reflection of how D&D Beyond values the community here.
But Feb 14 is the most recent ChangeLog entry for the main web app. All the more recent updates have been only for the mobile app.
There's also the legacy content toggle in the character builder to support Monsters of the Multiverse, and the presentation overhaul of Lost Mines of Phandelver, both of which happened within the last two or so months.
Then there's been the free content released such as the Vecna Dossier and Spelljammer Academy.
...the presentation overhaul of Lost Mines of Phandelver, both of which happened within the last two or so months.
Wait, what? What did they change?

LMoP was nearly the first product they did, years ago. They mentioned going through and giving it a cleanup pass, getting it up to the level of Spiff of their latest work after five years of learning how to DDB. No content changes, just prettification.

I mean, it is a reflection.
The Dev Update was something specifically put to the community so that we could see where development was headed. The fact that it was taken off the twitch schedule, not even tweeted about and a red name can't be assed to take 20 seconds to go "This is what's happening" meanwhile an unpaid volunteer has to sit here and take it from the community over and over again on it?
No one doubts that the moderators here try to foster an inclusive and safe environment for people, but that said it's extremely obvious that the intent behind the community team is geared toward content creation and not updates anymore. To point toward the changelog, which while yes has had an update within the last 14 hours, and then June 8, and then APRIL is disingenious when saying it's the go to play for timely updates.
The final thought being I posted that in in June, and the reply was in July. I'll let that speak for itself.
@davyd Thanks for that. I am glad to hear Joe is still around and just to know Mellie is persuing things of her own accord is nice to hear. She will be missed but she can still post as an alumni :)
Every opertunity you get please let the powers that be know we do miss our comms. I know it is easier to keep everything under wraps until you have the marketing you want, but DnDB did ok enough.
I understand the disruption to the dev update after the acquisition, but I hope it comes back in some form. It has felt like news coming out of dndbeyond has been significantly slower and more marketing and content focused.

Thank you, if anyone has any insight.
Due to the acquisition, there's still a lot of stuff getting sorted out and that's causing a bit of disruption to the regular twitch schedule.

Can you please at least let us know if there is any development in progress in the background or the development of DNDBeyond has stopped?
Development is very much still on going, in fact a changelog for the mobile app was put up only 6 hours ago (as of me posting this)

Wait, Joe and Mellie are both gone? When did that happen?
Joe hasn't gone anywhere, he's hard at work working the eldritch magic he does.
Mellie left a short time after the acquisition to pursue some exciting opportunities

I've figured it out. WotC's true acronym...
Wizards of Taciturn Communication.
I thought we'd have more communication since the acquisition.
Bravo to the mobile app team for pumping out frequent updates and improvements.
