I've lead a fairly diverse roster of player characters during my uptime in 5e, ones I will list out before discussing the topic of my post, and while I've found I certainly have a 'type' of character I gravitate towards naturally (that being martial/frontline caster), I do try to poke around and experiment with things. So I'm curious as to what folks think I should play of the concepts I've come up with for my next character. Here're the ones I've played thus far:
Morgann Solbeard (Hill Dwarf, Paladin of the Crown/Champion Fighter/GOO Warlock, Acolyte Background) [Azure Moon/Azure Dawn]
Zaldrick Lonelaw (Hobgoblin, Blood Hunter of the Fiendish Profane Soul, Soldier Background) [Shattered Sun]
The Wyrdwolf (Beasthide Shifter, Eldright Knight Fighter, Gladiator Background) [Chimeric World High Level]
Now, for my character concepts.
Sword's Song (Air Genasi; the concept is of a travelling carnival performer, an acrobat, tumbler, sword dancer and highwire daredevil; very spirited, flighty, confident and extroverted; extremely loyal to her adoptive family; bit of a showoff; thinking either a Battle Master fighter, or a Bard of the Sword or homebrew Dervish College)
Penelope Persimmon (Earth Genasi; I played her as an NPC a few times when I moderated and ran one-shots for my first campaign discord; an eccentric wandering 'cat lady' with a pair of Displacer Beasts she kept as pet companions; as a younger, adventure-ready Penny, I'm drawing inspiration from the Clawthorne sisters of Owl House; she's erudite and greedy for knowledge and to prove herself, like Lilith, but scruffy, untamed, worldly and unconcerned with societal norms, like Eda. Definitely a Druid, teetering between Land and Shepherd circles)
Eremys Spydrun (Shadar'kai; played him in a couple one shots, never with a defined character of yet; always liked the double agent not really feeling like they belong anywhere; barred from the Shadowfell and soul-scarred by his former matron for undecided reasons; Monk of Shadows is the strongest pick, but Warlock of Undead/Undying patrons, Shadow Magic Sorcerer, or Eldritch Trickster Rogue are strong picks too)
Soltie Solbeard (Hill Dwarf; the goodwife of my first character, and mother of my second long-run character; born to a powermongering clan and unclanned the moment her parents bore a firstborn son as an heir; she was taken in as a ward of Marcuseth after an attempted pickpocketing; to her former clan's chagrin, Morgann was smitten with her, and they were wed in short order when they came of age; she's survived an assassination attempt, though it cost her one of a pair of unborn twins; she's had training as a courtier and noblewoman, despite being unclanned early in life, and knows how to fight in the social arena; my strongest picks for her are a Thief or Mastermind Rogue, a Bard of Eloquence or Whispers, or, given her mother's notoriety as a mage, a Wizard or Sorcerer of some description)

Working on a supplement for the adventure-minded. A project including (and crediting) homebrew subclasses from the community, a world of my own design, premade characters, magic items, and even a prologue adventure to start things off!
Past and Current Characters: Morgann 'Duskspear' Solbeard, Hill Dwarf Paladin/Fighter/Warlock; Ephemeral 'Skye' Solbeard, Hill Dwarf Artificer; Zaldrick Lawscrip of Orzhov, Hobgoblin Wizard; Eremys Spydrun, Shadar'kai Monk; Cuchulainn, Wood Elf Blood Hunter.
Great ideas. I particularly like the idea of a earth genasi druid sage especially if you are using the updated race. It also seems like it would be the least like the others if you are keen to play something new. Go Shepard, I let the dwarf druid in my game reflavor the totems as elemental spirits. That would be very on theme for your Penelope.
Looks like Penny won handily. x3 Yeah, I like the idea of Shepherd Druid, and I'll probably reflavor the elemental spirits to be more feline in nature. Panther for Eagle, Lion for Bear, and perhaps Sphynx or Displacer for Unicorn.
