I was wondering the same. I'd sign up for a year, but as an existing monthly subscriber it's giving me the option to change my billing schedule but at what seems to be the normal discount.
If anyone who can change the deal is reading, I’d also happily pay for an extra year’s subscription at a discount if I could. I’m paid through September right now.
I said this over on the thread in thr bugs/support section. Figure id put it here as well for better visibility.
I put in a support ticket. Here's hoping that it gets responded to before the sale ends. It should be a valid option as there's nothing in their advertising that says that it's for new subscriptions only. I think the problem lies with their storefront/subscription software being somewhat backwards
Thank you for contacting D&DBeyond support. Unfortunately, the cyber sale discount for subscriptions is only applicable for new subscriptions and is not available for current subscriptions
I suppose they already have our money and assume we will keep subscribing (ironically, I've been wondering if it's worth keeping my master the last couple of weeks, but I also didn't expect a sale on subs). I'm still undecided, but I can't say this helps. Would have been nice to at least make the limit on the offer clear, especially since the other discounts apply to everyone.

Sadly not good news.
I received the same response. I am going to cancel my subscription as a result in anticipation of a sale next year. That is effectively the message they sent me with this response.

Hi!
I’ve seen there’s going to be a 20% off for subscriptions, but how can we benefit from the offer current subscribers like me?
We’ll probably have to wait until the discount goes live to see what it fully entails
Has anybody seen how to get it?

Hi I tried it out haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Master tier
Monthly $5.99
Annual 54.99 (23%) savings message which is the standard price break with a message saying will be 59.53/year in the future.
I'm assuming the sale is new customers only. Companies never reward continuing customers. Though I might peek tomorrow and Monday
Unfortunately this seems to generally be the case in recent decades.
So… I guess it’s worth to cancel our anual plans and wait a few months for next years discount… that sucks

Thanks! Hopefully so.
Like you said, it doesn't say anywhere about being for new subscribers only.
(I also tried to cancel subscription and then reactivate with an annual membership... it didn't work)
Well, I just got a response to my ticket....
Sadly not good news.
Wow, what a crock.

Thanks for asking ShadowMyth1x, I appreciate it.
